April Shepard

Local to Pender and Duplin county since 1994 (with a brief move to Raleigh/Durham), April is very familiar with the Cape Fear Region and the surrounding areas.

With a BS degree in Early Childhood Education, April worked in the childcare field for 20 years.  Her experience as a preschool teacher and program Director was beyond rewarding and allowed her to work directly with children and their families.  As family is very important to April, her clients become like family that she always goes above and beyond for during every step of the transaction. April truly enjoys helping others feel comfortable and secure during the home buying or selling process. April’s clients have found that they can trust her to be honest and highly invested in their interests.

April is very active with her children, youth, and family ministries at her church.  She also serves as the Treasurer on the PTO board at her son’s elementary school.  When not serving at church or working with clients, April loves to spend time outdoors and with her family.  They enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, the beach, and watching their oldest daughter play softball.

April has worked with many types of buyer/seller clients, however, first time home buyers are truly her favorite. This is a remarkable milestone in life that she is honored to be a part of and enjoys teaching and guiding them through each step.

Regardless of your home buying or selling experience, April would love to be of service to you and your family for any of your real estate needs.

April has certifications through the THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® in Short Sales and Foreclosures: What Real Estate Professionals Need to Know as well as Pricing Strategies: Mastering the CMA.

Jeff Daw

Jeff has long served the citizens of North Carolina, as a State Trooper and fireman since the 1990’s. He resides in Pender county, where he calls Rocky Point home for the last 16 years. Jeff and his wife Becky moved to this area in 2003, to start a ministry called the Lighthouse, that is so much more than just a church. The Lighthouse runs a food ministry, clothing ministry and provides emergency disaster responses, for humans and animals, all over the United States when needed.

After a career ending injury doing law enforcement work in 2015, Jeff started looking at other careers where he could help others and help people with their largest investment, the purchase of their own home. He started in real estate in 2018. It is about relationships, professionalism and knowledge of the industry to Jeff and you will experience just that when you work with him.

Outside of real estate Jeff enjoys spending time on the farm, with his family. Becky and Jeff have three children and three grandchildren. They still serve as the pastors of the Lighthouse and stay very busy serving in that capacity. Jeff has served with volunteer fire departments and in law enforcement since 1986. He grew up in Wayne county and has worked in the counties of Johnston, Wake, Sampson, Duplin, Onslow, Pender and at times in New Hanover in law enforcement or other first responder activity. You get to know the county in a different way when you work like that and you get to know a lot of great people. Jeff has you covered from farm to sea and looks forward to working for you.
